Meet Our pastor
Pastor Tiffany Newman
Pastor Tiffany Newman is a passionate pastor, visionary leader, author, and community advocate with a heart for advancing the Kingdom of God through discipleship, compassion, and transformational leadership. Born Tiffany Shanique Smith on August 10, 1974, she is the daughter of Pastor Deborah Percentie and the late Senior Smith. She was raised under the loving guidance of her maternal grandmother, the late Ruby Thurston, whose influence helped shape her deep faith and commitment to serving others.
In January 2000, she married Dion Vaughn Newman, and together they have been blessed with four children: Diondrea Tiffany, Alexandrea Joy, Dian Yvaughn, and Dion Jeremiah Newman.
Pastor Tiffany faithfully served for many years at the Independence Drive Church of God, where she ministered in numerous capacities, including the Usher Ministry, Choir, Finance Department, Sunday School, and the Pastor's Council. Her exceptional leadership and organizational gifts were most evident during her decade of service as Church Administrator, where she worked alongside Bishop Joseph Smith and contributed significantly to the church's operational growth and ministry development. Throughout her years of service, she faithfully supported three successive senior pastors, helping strengthen the church's infrastructure and expand its ministry impact.
Beyond the local church, Pastor Tiffany served as the Western District Secretary and contributed nationally as a member of both the National Builders Committee and the National Secretary Committee. She earned her CAMS Certification in 2014, received her Exhorter's Certificate in 2016, and is also a published author.
Her commitment to excellence extends into her professional career. She holds certifications in Carpentry and Blueprint Reading, an Associate of Arts degree in Architectural Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education. She currently serves with the Bahamas Government's Department of Physical Planning within the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs as the Officer-in-Charge of the Business License Land Use Section. She also represents the department on the Bahamas Government Preschool and Day Care Council.
Driven by a passion to transform lives beyond the walls of the church, Pastor Tiffany founded the HGRD Orphanage & Empowerment Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving vulnerable children, mentoring young adults, and providing practical support through feeding initiatives, clothing distribution, skills training, and housing assistance. Since 2010, she has partnered with the Bahamas Government in developing a comprehensive village designed to provide housing, education, spiritual care, and essential resources for individuals and families in need.
In August 2018, Pastor Tiffany launched a Church of God mission on Gladstone Road, faithfully leading the ministry from its inception. As the mission flourished into a thriving congregation, she was appointed Senior Pastor of the Holy Ghost Revival & Deliverance Centre Church of God in March 2023.
Today, Pastor Tiffany also serves as the Lead Pastor of Waging War Ministries International – The Bahamas, where she is committed to raising disciples, equipping leaders, strengthening families, and advancing the Kingdom of God throughout the Bahamas and beyond. Her ministry is marked by humility, wisdom, and an unwavering belief in the transforming power of the Gospel. She is passionate about planting seeds of faith, empowering people to discover their God-given purpose, and creating lasting impact in both the church and the community.
Her life reflects a simple yet powerful mission: to love God, serve people, and build a legacy that transforms generations.

The HGRD Orphanage & Empowerment Centre exists to bring hope, healing, and lasting transformation to vulnerable children and families throughout The Bahamas. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to care for orphans, support children facing adversity, and provide a safe, nurturing environment where every child can grow spiritually, emotionally, academically, and physically. We believe every child deserves to be loved, protected, and given the opportunity to flourish.
Today, we are building more than facilities—we are building a future. Our vision includes developing residential homes, recreational spaces, educational resources, and life-enrichment programs that will create a thriving community for children in need. Through strategic partnerships and compassionate leadership, we are laying the foundation for a place where hope is restored and lives are transformed.
